Cooking Tips

  • Karaage: Marinate in soy, sake, ginger & garlic. Dust with starch and fry at 350°F for 3–4 minutes.
  • Stir-Fry: Medium-high heat for 5–6 minutes, stir frequently until browned and cooked through.
  • Grill: Thread on skewers, medium heat, ~5 minutes per side until charred and juicy.

Always cook to 165°F and rest briefly for maximum juiciness.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Jidori® Chicken Chunks (thigh recommended)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sake
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ cup potato starch
  • Neutral oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges (to serve)

Instructions:

  1. Marinate chicken in soy, sake, ginger, and garlic for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain and coat with potato starch.
  3. Heat oil to 350°F. Fry in small batches for 3–4 minutes until golden and crisp.
  4. Drain and serve hot with lemon.

Pairs well with white rice, cabbage slaw, or Japanese mayo.
